Tank shell staircases are a uniquely designed access solution within the category of tank-mounted stair systems. They are used exclusively in industrial facilities and are delivered to construction sites as separate components.

The node plates used to attach the stair treads must be fixed directly to the tank (either by welding or anchoring with expansion bolts). Following this, the small, easy-to-handle elements — stair treads, platforms, baluster posts, and handrails — are to be bolted and assembled on site. Due to the required welding operations, all on-site weld seams must be treated and preserved afterward.
